Our stance: the future of Canadian food security is decided in classrooms, not just fields. STEM Minds teaches AgriTech — drones, sensors, AI and robotics applied to growing food — as a hands-on discipline from grade school to employment, and runs applied R&D with partners like Boreal Farms in King City, Ontario. We believe every student should meet real agricultural technology before they choose a career, and every farm should have access to the next generation who can run it.
AgriTech (agricultural technology) is the use of technology to grow food more productively and sustainably — sensors that read soil and climate, drones that monitor crop health, AI that turns farm data into decisions, and robotics that automate planting, care and harvest. It spans precision agriculture, indoor and vertical farming, and the data systems that connect field to fork. In Ontario, it's also one of the fastest-growing career paths in the agri-food sector — and one of the least understood.
